In Timbúes, Santa Fe, the LCD Argentina second oilseed milling plant and port terminal has been operating since 2006, located on Río Coronda at its confluence with Río Paraná.
The plant has a milling capacity of 8,000 tons per day and a storage capacity of 380,000 dry tons and 45,000 tons of oil. The project is considering the possibility of expanding the milling capacity to 16,000 tons per day by adding a second line. It is also considering the expansion of the storage capacity to meet the growing needs of the Rice division.
The port has a loading rate of 1,800 tons per hour based on grain and 800 tons per hour based on oil, it receives up to 14,400 tons of grain per day by truck and 14,000 tons per day by barge.
